December was full of many events for the Delview Leos, which included making cards for seniors, stuffing sleighs, making pancakes, and the annual Spinal Cord Injury BC curling party.
Our club regularly hosts fun and impactful events that shape our community into a place that we enjoy and can thrive in.
Upon joining our club, you are immediately opened to new opportunities and are invited to join into however many events you want!
We usually have a large variety of events over the year, and now with our numbers expanding and with your help we can make these events more exciting and have a stronger and longer lasting impact on our neighbourhood.
Everyone is welcome to join as many or as few events as you like, and along with gaining volunteer hours AND experience, you also become part of a fun social community that all have the power to change the future.

We collected pairs of glasses to be sent to the Lions Recycle for Sight Program with CLERC, which recycles used pairs of glasses and reuses them to be donated to other countries.

This was an amazing event to help cleanup up our community, with both local news coverage, and community participation from schools across Delta and BC. Thank you to everyone who came out to make a positive impact on the environment and fostering a better future for our city.

Our Leos spent a wonderful evening at the Earthwise Society farm as we cultivated new life and learned more about sustainable gardening in the community! Enjoying the sun and the fresh ocean breeze, we helped prepare plant beds for the beginning of spring, and can't wait to come back again to immerse ourselves in the garden once more.

This year, we had almost 30 Leos come out to this event to help shovel manure and raise money for our Leos clubs future initiatives. After hours of hard work, we shoveled over 300 bags of manure and raised thousands of dollars that could not have been done without the help of the Surrey Central Lions and all the other Leos clubs.

On March 17th, three of our executive team went to visit the Vancouver Longhouse for their International Board Meeting of Directors, where Lions with executive positions from around the world came to discuss the future of Lions International. With almost 150 executives there from countries worldwide, from Asia to Europe to South America to Africa, the room was filled with people conversing in different languages, all connected by a passion for service.

The Delview Leos hosted an incredible ramen fundraiser on February 22nd, raising almost $100 in profits and not even selling out!

The Delview Leos hosted it's second samosa sale in November, being a popular treat for Delview students and staff. After raising over $100 in profits to go towards future charitable events, our members were excited to continue supporting the community and serving food to those who donated.

The Delview Leos had a ton of fun baking tasty goodies to sell at lunch for Delview students, and raised a hige profit to go directly towards supporting relief during the Syria-Turkey earthquake, partnering with the Lions to donate thousands towards international aid during the devastating earthquake.

The Delview Leos Club had it's first sale on March 29th, 2023 selling samosas at Delview Secondary, and raising over 200 dollars to go towards their club funds, which would later go towards creating new events to help out and serve the community or as a donation to the Turkey-Syria Earthquake Relief Fund in collaboration with the Lions Clubs International. Most of the members came to participate and it was a successful first run selling products in a school community for the Delview Leos.

Our Leos and Lions had a series of meetings to discuss the 2025 Leos District Convention where we will be inviting Leos from BC, Washington, Idaho and Oregon to attend a 3 day convention hosted at Camp Whonnock in Langley, BC.

This Surrey Central Lions District Meeting was held regarding the upcoming MD19 Lions Convention that our Leos helped to organize, on the 20th, where we planned out in this meeting the Carnival games, future meetings and painting sessions for creating the games, and the events 21st of October (Memorial + Panel Speakers).
